At Laserlab Yorkshire we offer tattoo removal & SPMU eyebrow removal using Q10 ND YAG Laser, an effective method of removing unwanted tattoo's and semi permanent makeup. The laser breaks down the pigment into small fragments which the body can remove naturally. Removal of cosmetic tattoos is faster and requires fewer treatments than tattoo removal.
We offer a free consultation to provide a comprehensive understanding of the procedure and what to expect and to assess your suitability for treatment. Prior to any treatment we would conduct a patch test and then schedule treatment 24-48hrs later.

Laser tattoo removal is a safe and effective treatment for the removal of unwanted tattoos. The Q10 is a Medical Grade, FDA cleared laser utilising Q switched technology which fragments the ink pigment into tiny particles, small enough to be absorbed into and removed by the body’s immune system. The tattoo will gradually fade with each treatment over the course of a few months.
Most tattoos can be considerably diminished and many can be completely removed. For most tattoos a course of 6-12 sessions is required with at least 8 weeks between each treatment. Some can be removed in less, generally after the first session we will see how the tattoo reacts to the treatment. The number of treatments will depend on your immune system, the age, size, colour and location of the tattoo as well as the type and depth of the ink pigment.
Laser tattoo removal typically involves some level of pain. Most people report that it is comparable to having a tattoo applied. The Q10 incorporates PTP mode ensuring maximum comfort and fast skin regeneration. Skin numbing can be used to reduce pain. This can involve cold air, ice pack or topical cream such as Emla cream. The treatment is very quick and most people do not experience pain after the treatment has been carried out.
Side effects can be expected after treatment but these are temporary. There is an immediate whitening of the area treated which may last for several minutes to several hours. Short term effects can include reddening, bruising and /or blistering. Your laser technician will provide you with pre and post care instructions prior to treatment.
